2009 was a year of comebacks.
A year of sexy women.
A year of the ongoing dance craze.
A year of new arrivals.
The year Miley Cyrus begins to use ice cream carts at music awards for striping action. Bitch take it to the club. More or less the writing of this blog entry gets better towards the end (like wine) as well do the songs. There's some cussing as well.
10. Party in the U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus
MOST ANNOYING SONG EVA, jk i luv it.
9. Know Your Enemy by Green Day
8. 21 Guns by Green Day
Towards the end of my 8th grade school year, my friend's brother's aunt's cousin's grandma's grandpa's gravedigger's boyfriend's son's television producer got my friend 21st Century Breakdown illegally (note I had no part, cause I am a good angel. LOOK AT MY HALO HALO HALO.) I originally didn't have taste for Green Day, but when I heard 21 Guns and Know Your Enemy I peed my pants with joy.
7. If U Seek Amy by Britney Spears
6. Womanizer by Britney Spears
5. 3 by Britney Spears
Britney has made the sexiest come back ever. First by making a song about fucking (excuse my English), a song about womanizing, and more recently "3" which is sexy as well. This is a great time to tell you about the first music video I knew all the choreography to. It was Oops I Did It Again. Every time it played on Nickelodeon (yes, does anyone remember when they showed her videos?) I would begin to dance my kiddy butt off. I still know a move or two . . .
4. Right Round by Flo Rida
I imagine this song is apart of a long list of songs that have sampled You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) by Dead or Alive. I think Flo Rida did a great job. It was downloaded 636,000 units in the opening week. He must have had a lot of computers to download the song. Haha. By the way this is the current record for the most downloaded song in the first week of release. ALSO, I learned recently Flo + Rida = Florida.
3. Just Dance by Lady Gaga
On April 1 Lady Gaga became the first artist in nearly ten years to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with their first two chart entries (Just Dance and Poker Face.) Lady Gaga has also became the first performer to have three songs from a debut album reach #1 on an American Billboard chart since Avril Lavigne and Ace Of Base. I mean that is just hot aka I couldn't think of anything so I looked at Wikipedia for stuff to plug.
2. Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas
I consider this a MUCH BETTER song then I Got A Feeling. I have been a long time fan of the Black Eyed Peas. My first CD was one of theirs (Elephunk), My Humps was the first song I ever memorized, and Fergie was my first celeb crush. She still is. God I love her. Good comeback too.
1. Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)
Maybe Kanye West had it right when he interrupted Taylor Swift. All The Single Ladies (or All MY Single Ladies as me and my friends say) is possibly the best song ever. It has been in my head since it first came out. That's almost a year! Damn, I love her so much. If you asked my mom what song has got on her nerves she'll say Single Ladies, I sing it a lot when she is around. When Glee featured the song with football players dancing to it, it made me go wild with love for the song. It has babies dancing to it. It, I think, started the dance craze of 2009. It clearly deserves to be the number one song of the year, better yet decade.
Damn right you didn't see any songs by Michael Jackson. I am sorry (not really) but I dislike him.
