ABOUT DAMN TIME YOU POST SOMETHING

As most of us know Christmas is around the corner! I personally can't wait, through I did have a heated discussion with a friend yesterday at lunch. It was whether or not Christmas is (now) a religious holiday. It went something like this:

Friend : Christmas is our way of praising God and all his glory.
Me : NU-UH. Look at people who don't believe in God. They celebrate Christmas.
Friend : That's just their secret way of loving God.
Me : SHUT THE HELL UP.
*gets gun and kills her*

Maybe it didn't go like that, but it did in my mind. All this came up because I was watching the news a while back and a town had to change their Christmas Parade to Holiday Parade. I was so angry. I don't see people trying to change Halloween to Holiday. Don't some people believe Halloween is a praise to the Devil? What about New Years and Valentine's Day? Should we be complaining of a baby in a diaper? I think America (and a lot of other places) need to think about something before they force something changed. It just comes down to this: You enjoy the holiday, or you don't. You stay at home all day and complain that it is a religious holiday, or you can spend time with your family and enjoy yourself. I am just a teenager who is tried of some of the silliest stuff.

  1. Sort of relevant: Back in "olden England" the Church almost outlawed Christmas because they'd felt it had LOST all religious meaning.
